Honors and Awards

Golden Apple Teacher Award:
In 2011, students and administration recommended my name to be included for the annual Golden Apple Teacher award. Hundreds of teachers were nominated. After submitting my application, going through multiple selection processes, and 16 observations (by a committee made up of community business leaders), I was selected as one of the six Golden Apple Teachers. The Collier County Education Foundation presented the Golden Apple Award to me in front of all of my students, administration, school staff, the local newspaper, local magazines, and T.V. media. A live annual television broadcast honored the six Golden Apple Teachers.
